LLiSA Logo Designs

From LLiSA

Jump to: navigation, search

Taken from a sociological perspective, identity is the way that individuals label themselves as members of particular groups. It is in this spirit that each member is encouraged to think first what drives him/her and the collective is what will drive LLiSA on its journey to innovativeness.

Thanks to Perry Price we now have four gorgeous designs of which only one can become the official logo for LLiSA. Here's how to go about choosing your favorite: send an email with the name and one or two lines why you believe it's definitely a logo to wear everywhere and everyone will know who you are (mpitseboshomane@csir.co.za). The winning logo will be announced at the LLiSA board meeting on 09 June so please send comments long before then.

  • I like the Modern logo. Dr Danie Smit. SAP Research CEC Pretoria, South Africa
  • Southern Africa Twilight. I just like the colours - they're very easy on the eye. Mamello Thinyane. Siyakhula LL, University of Fort Hare, South Africa
  • I like the Modern logo. Mario Marais. Meraka Institute Pretoria, South Africa
  • I like the Modern logo. Marlien Herselman. Meraka Institute Pretoria, South Africa
  • Three COFISA votes are for the South Africa Sunset design. The colours are appealing - not too dull or too bold. Good luck. Nirvashnee Seetal. SA National Coordinator (COFISA) and Department of Science and Technology Pretoria, South Africa
  • Southern Africa Modern. All the other logos are coloured in such a way that there is an odd-one-out. One of the figures on the end stands out and is left dangling owing to their different nature. Otherwise Twilight has the best colour scheme - but why put the yellow person at the end? Ron Wertlen. Rhodes University Stellenbosch, South Africa
  • I love the SA bold because it is very much in your face in terms of the colour. I like the linked people more than the others we were presented at the launch- well done! Viola Manual. Afrivate Cape Town, South Africa
  • They are all beautiful! I could only see differences in the colour of the figures and the dots below the lowest LLiSA name. My choice would be the Southern Africa Modern logo, because it is the most colourful one. Walter Bohle. Pretoria, South Africa
  • I prefer Southern Africa Modern. The sequence of the colours reflect the journey we are undertaking. From the Calm Blue of inception through to the Relaxed Green of Reflection in the middle, to the fiery Red of implementation and Success. Potlako Nts'ekhe-Nzima. Lesotho
  • Personal preference is for Modern, but I think Sunset would work best for LLiSA. Kobus Roux. Meraka Institute Pretoria, South Africa
  • I've been thinking. What if the people stood in a circle holding the name LLiSA up? Mmamakanye Pitse-Boshomane. Meraka Institute Pretoria, South Africa
