Mission

To develop and field-test the prototype of a multi-functional, distributed community communication platform for deployment in marginalized and semi-marginalized communities in South Africa.

To build technically skilled human resources in the field of ICT in the context of supporting ICT activities in marginalized communities.

The Community

The Siyakhula Living Lab project is undertaken in the two villages of Dwesa/Cwebe and Nkwalini. These villages are in the former Transkei region of the Eastern Cape, along the Wild Coast.
